Perth and Kinross District Scouts is delighted to announce that Stacey Caie has taken on the role as Team Leader for the Perth and Kinross District Volunteering Development Team to make sure all our volunteers have a positive, supported and enjoyable volunteering experience, ensuring new volunteers can join and be welcomed easily and smoothly through the volunteer journey.
Stacey’s role will champion Our Volunteering Culture and support volunteers to learn new skills and develop through inductions, learning opportunities, compliance and gaining accreditations. Ensuring we Recognise and appreciate volunteers for their brilliant work.
As the Team Leader for the Volunteering Development Team, Stacey will support our new Welcome Conversation Volunteers, Learning Assessors, Trainers, First Response Trainer, PVG Support Volunteers and Awards team.
Stacey said “I am excited to take on this role at this point in Scouting to ensure all of our volunteers have the skills they need for the valuable roles they have in our communities to put young people first and ensure volunteers are recognised for the work they do. As we continue to build the team, if anyone would like to be part of the Volunteering Development Team or the sub teams listed above, especially if you are interested in becoming a Welcome Conversation Volunteer to support Scouting local to you, please get in touch for a chat as Perth and Kinross has a large geographical area and we would like to ensure we can give a local welcome to new volunteers”.
Stacey joined Scouting as a Beaver Section Leader, has volunteered with Cubs and Scouts and most recently as Group Scout Leader and Training Assessor for the 54th Perthshire (Auchterarder). Stacey’s passions in Scouting include providing opportunities for Volunteers and Young people to learn new skills and take on new adventures and is known for volunteering at local, National and International camps either teaching Backwoods, Archery or Tomahawk throwing to young people.
